A little bit about me

With the intention that you get to know me a little better, I will now describe what my educational and work journey has been. On the other hand, I will show you what my personal values and attitudes are.

Institute Sierra Blanca, donde cursé bachillerato

Unlike other young people, I obtained my compulsory basic education degree at the adult school in Marbella, Malaga, at the age of 18, while I was working in a family business. After this, I decided to go for the baccalaureate degree in social sciences, which I obtained the following two years, in Marbella as well. Until now I have worked alongside my family. But the following year I decided to move to Córdoba to pursue a bilingual (English) child teaching career, which was the first teaching promotion in Andalusia to offer bilingualism. In the third year of training, I had to leave the degree to work, since they did not offer me a scholarship and I could not afford the university expenses. The following year I came back and finished my training as a teacher. Ever since I was young I've been excited about technology, but it was during my third year of college that my passion for programming began, so I decided to get a standard Java degree, taught by Movistar, to try it out, and I'm currently studying a Higher F.P of development of multiplatform applications (DAM) in online modality.

I've been working in front of the public since I was 16 years old, always behind a counter, so I know a lot of snags with customer service.

Eventually I have worked giving classes to young children in primary and secondary schools. I've also done a couple of day jobs moving or unloading trucks, and I've even been a kitchen helper on a couple of occasions. I have also done other types of jobs, such as a warehouse boy, a delivery man, maintenance services (where I have learned painting, gardening and masonry work), a janitor or a salesperson.
Regarding my personal values, aptitudes and attitudes, I can say that I am a person who wants to learn and work. I like teamwork: I am good at solving conflicts that arise unexpectedly and finding an efficient solution.

I consider myself someone responsible, punctual, patient, empathic, constant and creative. I like to be in a clean and supportive work environment among colleagues, as well as make sure I offer good customer service. For me it is important that the work is done before I leave and to get as far ahead as possible to be able to help my colleagues, that is, to get involved in my work, so I could leave one day on time a little later to be able to leave everything ready.

Now that you know a little more about me, I encourage you to fill out the contact form on the right and answer any questions. I will be happy to solve any question for you.

Final university project

Although I studied teaching, my final degree project was not based on education per se, but had a more clinical focus. It explains which vegetation in Andalusian schools is the most detrimental to respiratory allergies in male and female students with the aim of improving the health and quality of life of boys and girls with these diseases (increased inclusion among classmates, improvement in academic performance, among other benefits), as well as the lowering of public health costs, since, as shown in the project, the substitution of more harmful species for less harmful ones supposes a minimum expense compared to to the cost of the particular treatment for these allergies. To do this, I carried out an investigation of the vegetation of 45 schools throughout Andalusia and studied the allergy capacity of the pollen of each species.

In this study, some viable alternatives in vegetation are shown to reduce the allergic reaction in children with this type of disease, also taking into account its price. If you want to learn a little more about this project, click on the link below.

Cordoba Down's sindrome

With the aim of publicizing the work of the Córdoba Down association and promoting awareness of people with Down syndrome, together with some university colleagues, we carried out a project in which reflections are offered on how we can help people with Down syndrome. people who suffer from this disease to have a life just like everyone else.
With the collaboration of the University of Cordoba, which facilitated contact with the organization, we were able to set up a promotional stand to publicize their work. If you want to see the reflections and the methodological process, you can consult it here👆.

Some of the games that I played were aimed at children with Down syndrome, with the aim of familiarizing them with the environment. The games are based on visual work, since it is the most developed sense for learning   people with Down syndrome. Here you can see some of them, but if you want to have all of them in case it is of interest to you, you can ask me at my email: 122bd08@gmail.com

What surrounds us

Other blogs

Blogger is a technology that is familiar to me and I have applied it in the field of early childhood education. The two projects that I show below were made as teaching support material for teachers. It includes different resources: educational videos, information with explanations for the proposed subjects, activities created with the "Kahoot" quiz tool and creation activities  through Java, using the "JClick" program.

The cell blog. It is a blog dedicated to the basic concepts of cells for understanding in the children's world. It focuses on cell structure, cell types, and different cell functions. The main objective of this project is to introduce biology in the children's environment and encourage curiosity about the subject in students.

Cinderella. On this occasion, the content of the project is based on the Disney film, but with the aim of promoting values of equality, critical opinion and a positive approach to children. In this space, the film is made known in its original version through games and other resources, so that the teacher can compare the differences between the different versions with the students to change the consensus of the idea of patriarchy still present in our society.
